**Position Type / Hours**:
Full-Time Temporary Contract: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, 35 hours weekly, plus overtime as required

**Annual Compensation**:
$80,867.00 to $103,517.00 commensurate with education, skills and experience.

The role of the Project Manager is to initiate, plan and execute projects in accordance with strict deadlines and within budget. This includes leading projects and project teams across the organization, acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors/consultants to deliver the project according to plan and in support of the achievement of Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board’s vision, mission and strategic priorities.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

- In collaboration with senior management and other internal stakeholders, define objectives, establish metrics, and oversee quality control throughout project life cycle.
- Plan and schedule timelines and milestones using appropriate project management tools.
- Effectively communicate project objectives and expectations to team members / stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Issue status reports from the project team, analyze metrics, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Develop and implement best practices / tools for project execution and management.
- Coordinate with department managers to deploy internal staff/resources in support of project completion. Coach and motivate project team members and contractors to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential difficulties and devise contingency plans.
- Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Develop and deliver employee training programs in support of project implementation.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- College diploma required, but a University degree is preferred.
- PMP Certification or other relevant professional organization(s).
- Minimum of ten (10) years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
- Strong technical skills and experience with project management software, such as MS Project.
- Experience working autonomously and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines utilizing advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Persuasive and motivational communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
- Ability to secure support and cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including board management, consultants and other departments.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within tight deadlines.
