Crematory Technician

**About us**

The Eternal Companions Resting Paws Campus is located in a beautiful country setting which hosts our pet cemetery (for small pets and horses) as well as our pet crematorium, serving Ontario and Québec regions.

We distinguish ourselves as a personalized pet funeral service, showing a real respect for the animals we take care of and offering support to families in their time of grief.

We are looking for someone to assist our other Crematory Technician with pet cremations and help transport deceased pets and their ashes to grieving families/veterinary clinics.

Excellent customer service skills, a compassionate demeanor and the ability to work well in a team, are priorities and required assets.

Other responsibilities will be to assist in the maintenance of the cemetery which will require knowledge on the utilization of associated machinery.

This position requires a compassionate, motivated, and very organized individual who can keep calm under pressure and who is dedicated to treating all our families and their pets with dignity and respect.

**Responsibilities include**
- Assist the other site employee with pet cremations and maintenance of the cemetery.
- Welcome, advise and accompany families in the organization of funerals for their pet, while respecting their wishes
- Use of our specific Pet Cremation Software system
- Taking care of the bodies of deceased animals with dignity, care and respect,
- Assisting families that come to retrieve of their pets remains (ashes)
- Gentle transportation of deceased pets from veterinary clinics or from homes when needed, ensuring perfect compliance with regulation and operation procedures.
- Preparing pets upon return to the centre for visiting families (funeral services).
- Performing special services, such as paw/nose prints, packaging of cremated remains etc.
- . Completing all necessary electronic and physical documentation so as to ensure 100 % reliability of our chains of custodyPreparing and processing invoices
- Assist in arranging equine burial services

**Requirements**:

- Must work well with others in a team environment and strive to provide quality service.
- Bilingualism is an asset (English necessary)
- Must have a current valid driver’s license, car insurance and a good driving record
- Be punctual
- Be flexible and cooperative
- Able to lift 51 pounds
- Detail-oriented. All documentation/paperwork must be accurate, organized, and legible.
- Must work within established safety guidelines
- Ensuring a welcoming environment for clients - making sure center and office space is kept clean and welcoming at all times
- Be willing and comfortable working with certain machinery (Kubota tractor etc) training can be provided, but knowledge of how these machines work is a plus.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times; company apparel will be provided.

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
