**Group Description**

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

**Role Summary**:
Direct and indirect supervision and responsibility for employees in several work units. Consults with direct supervisors for information on staff. May approve personnel policies. Responsible for hiring, terminating, evaluating, motivating, training and developing staff (incl. succession planning).Develops policy for financial control, and cash management system. Liaises with auditors, government officials, legal personnel and others. Submits complex funding proposals requiring extensive negotiation, persuasion and justification in order to obtain funding. Ultimately responsible for planning revenues and/or approving expenditures. Formulates budget of whole organization. Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed. Review and adhere to division-specific health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, operating procedures, and policies. Respond and report in a timely manner to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects or non-compliance issues. Understand and uphold the policies that prohibit workplace violence and harassment. Correct unsafe acts or conditions, promote health and safety policies and ensure that these policies are followed. Ensure improvement of workplace ergonomics. Ensure the Magna EHS policy is communicated to employees annually and the necessary training is provided.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- 1. Responsible for providing leadership; instilling a sense of urgency; and driving problems towards resolution to ensure the cost-effective management of the procurement and flow of all materials to meet both internal and external customer requirements in the following areas:
- Ensuring on-time supplier delivery with zero defects; on-time shipments to customers.
- Negotiating and maintaining key supplier contracts/agreements, protecting the interests of Co-Ex-Tec.
- Ensuring customer and regulatory compliance in the area of materials management
- Ensuring a high level of inventory accuracy within the framework of a cost / benefit approach
- Ensuring all manufactured products meet customer requirements by working in conjunction with manufacturing
- Responding to quality concerns as required
- Providing production with “fast response” troubleshooting
- Completing all APQP-related activities, ECR processes, PRP (8D), and all other Quality Management System requirements as needed;
- Setting and achieving specific goals around Lean Manufacturing principles
- Ensuring that conflict and productivity issues are managed directly, constructively, and professionally in all circumstances

2. Drive year-over-year continuous improvement initiatives in areas of responsibility.
- 3. Create an environment that encourages active process improvement discussion in the context of business goals.
- 4. Identify opportunities, scope projects and forecast resources to achieve productivity, quality and service improvement targets for the business.
- 5. Develop the annual Business Plan for the Materials Department.
- 6. Identify key weaknesses within the team and lead the transformation of existing processes to a higher quality operation
- 7. Leverage the capabilities, ideas and processes within the team
- 8. Lead and manage staff including resource planning; training; and performance management
- 9. Ensure enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements and compliance to QMS (IATF16949), EMS (ISO 14001), Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001), and security (PIP) requirements
- 10. Adhere to all Co-Ex-Tec and departmental procedures as required.
- 11. Perform regular workplace inspections. Perform accident investigation. Correct unsafe acts or conditions. Train new/transferred/temporary employees on safe method of conducting their job. Correct or commend Health & Safety performance.
- 12. Attend authorized training in order to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills, and/or certification.
- 13. May be required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature.
- 14. Perform, direct and/or carry out any reasonable assignments required by Management.**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:
