Tutor - Mathematics & Science

The Rexdale Community Health Centre (RCHC) is a multi-service centre providing primary health care, health promotion and community support services, including settlement and community development activities for families, children, youth, adults and seniors of diverse backgrounds.

RCHC’s Youth and Family Services team is seeking one Part-Time Math/ Science tutor to support the academic achievement of students enrolled in our academic support after school.

**Responsibilities**:
Provide academic and numeracy support and guidance to students in the after-school program (Grades 7-12),

**Qualifications**:

- Graduates or current Post Secondary students in the faculties relating to Math and/or Sciences
- Experience working with Children or Youth
- Teaching/tutoring experience
- Knowledge of Ontario curriculum an asset
- Students enrolling in OISE can apply
- The ability to work effectively with small groups or one to one
- Ability to work in person and virtually
- Ability to contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment
- Ability to work within the values, goals, mission and policies of the Rexdale Community Health Centre

**Hourly Rate**: $20 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
**Hours per week**:4 Hours per week (Tuesday and Thursday, 4 pm-6 pm)
**Status**:Non-unionized position, contract to March 31, 2023 (possibility of extension)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 4 per week

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
