Overview

The Corporate Financial Services department of WorkSafeBC is looking for one highly motivated **Co-op student, Corporate Financial Services** to join our team to help us strive towards our vision.

The student will assist the department to assist in supporting our goal of maintaining cost-effectiveness and financial accountability for WorkSafeBC. This is a four-month temporary opportunity starting in May 2023.

**Where you’ll work**

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a **hybrid work model** that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you’ll work primarily from your B.C. home and be on-site at a minimum of once per week in our Richmond office.

What you'll do
- Process stop payment and reissue requests for payments made to injured workers, employers, providers, and corporate vendors.
- Gather data to perform analysis as required.
- Conduct reconciliations and verification of data and information from our internal and external clients.
- Create and update process documentations where needed.
- Perform other ad hoc work as required.

**Your background** **and experience**
- Is a third or fourth year student enrolled in Accounting, Business Administration or in a related program
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Previous co-op or relevant work experience in an office environment is preferred
