**Responsibilities**:(will include but are not limited to)
- Coach and mentor the Construction staff on the project to safe work practices on mechanical activities.
- Prepare project schedules and reports.
- Ensures the proper safe use of all materials, facilities and equipment in manufacturing circuits or during an assigned project.
- Responsible for ensuring that work meets established safety standards.
- Conduct tests and analyses of machines, components and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress and other characteristics.
- Participates in project follow-up and consult on start-up and/or test work and analysis.
- Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations, construction projects and subcontractors.
- Inspect mechanical installations and construction.
- Reviews work of assigned project for technical accuracy.
- Coordinate and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems and modifications to engineered designs.
- Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems to make recommendations for corrective action and implements.
- Actively participate in the continuous Safety and Quality improvement process.
- Constructively resolves safety work issues where they arise and recommends health and safety measures to improve results.
- Conduct daily inspections of the work area.
- Perform any relevant work-related duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**:

- College degree and University Degree preferred
- 8+ years of related experience in Health & Safety is an asset
- APEGA certificate would be an asset
- 5 years’ of experience in the Oil & Gas industry preferred

**Number of Positions**: 1

**Hours of work (shifts)**: 10 hours daily shift with 1-hour break and 4 days off (10 days in / 4 days off).
