Day Camp Leader

Willowdale School of Music is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and music-loving camp leader to head up our March Break and Summer Day camp program.

**Day Camp Leader duties**:

- Planning and preparing both musical and non-musical activities, crafts, games, musical time and outdoor activities for each week
- Organizing camp supplies
- Directly communicate with the School Director regarding planned activities and necessary supplies
- Playing and interacting with campers
- Participate in the camp program and activities while delivering program to campers
- Monitor campers indoors and outdoors and enforce camp rules and safety
- Supervise snack and lunch times, indoor and outdoor play and activities
- Working with the Camp Staff & Volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the camp and safety of the campers
- Lead daily screening and following all health & COVID-19 protocols
- Lead daily set up, sanitizing and clean up of daily program

**Contract**:

- Contract runs March Break (March 11-15), Camp Week 1 (July 2-5), Camp Week 1 (July 8-12) and Camp Week 3 (July 15-19), 2024
- Pay is $672/4 day week and $840/5 day week
- Additional aftercare hours (3:00 - 5:00 PM) at $24/hour may be available
- Be experienced working with children ages 4-10
- Have a Bachelors of Music in their main instrument or be currently enrolled in a music-centred diploma or degree program
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be available 8:30 - 5:00 PM daily on the weeks camp runs
- Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the first day of camp
- Be able to participate in activities such as running, jumping, throwing, etc

**Salary**: $840.00 per week

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
