Shipper/receiver

Donald’s Fine Foods is a family owned business that has operated for over 30 years. We are a specialty meat manufacturer spanning six plants in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

We are currently looking for a Shipper/Receiver to join North 49 Foods based out of our Moose Jaw, SK location.

**Brief Job Description**

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for all inbound and outbound shipping at North 49 Foods. Working in collaboration with Production, Quality Assurance and Maintenance to sustain the day-to-day efficiency of the deliveries and dry/cold goods storage.

**Responsibilities**
- Works safely and productively, reports any safety issues.
- Coordinate both shipments through several different transport companies, arranging for efficient delivery and pickup.
- Prepare various documentation including but not limited to work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders.
- Performs general activities to loading, unloading, sorting and moving shipments either by hand or using material handling equipment.
- Compares shipment contents to pick sheet and packing slips/invoices, verifies accuracy of shipments.
- Ensures all shipments receive the proper labeling and are packaged to arrive safely.
- Keeps management and supervisors aware of products in order to maintain accurate information, reports changes and items as needed.
- Accurately packages, label and weighs items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method.
- Work with other departments to see that products are handled promptly, and goods are shipped and stored properly.
- Responds to customer shipping inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Receives products coming in and maintain organized and clean work environment.
- Picks up and order shipping supplies as needed.
- Assists in BRC compliance and audits where necessary.
- Assists in all safety related issues (investigations, return to work plan management.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- 3 years’ experience in logistics, warehouse and freight movement.
- Valid drivers license, clear drivers abstract.
- Forklift certification or able to obtain.
- Working knowledge of WorkSafeSask regulations.
- Ability to self-direct, set goals.
- Organized and able to meet deadlines.

**Salary**: $20.14 per hour
