**Position Details**
- The Caretaking Department requires the services of a part-time Caretaker to start work in February 2023. Reporting to the Manager, Caretaking Services, this position is responsible for:
- Janitorial work (i.e. floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning, floor refinishing, and general cleaning)
- Recycling
- Assisting with the completion of minor maintenance projects
- Operating cleaning equipment (i.e. polishers, autoscrubbers, burnishers, and other cleaning equipment)
- Apartment cleaning
- Adhering to standard operating procedures and safe work practices.**Position Qualifications**- Effective** **English reading, verbal and written communication skills at the appropriate level for the position
- Reliable, positive, and detail oriented with excellent time management skills
- Experience with heavy duty cleaning procedures and commercial cleaning equipment; current WHMIS certification is an asses
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (i.e. including bending, twisting, climbing stairs, pushing, and pulling, regular lifting of 10 kg and occasional lifting of 25 kg) in a safe and efficient manner
- A proven ability to maintain effective working relationships and provide quality customer service
- Standard first aid and CPR certification is desired
- Some experience with supervising would be considered an asset
- Criminal record check

**Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $3,051.00 - $3,340.00 monthly

**Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $3,051.00 - $3,629.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 3)
