Grower Services Advisor

Vineland Growers is over 100 years in business providing a service to the Agriculture industry in Ontario. The Co-operative services over 300 members with fruit distribution and crop input supplies. The Co-operative operates two distribution warehouses and stores to supply growers.

**Grower Services Advisor**:
No experience necessary. Power cart experience is an asset.

Duties include:
Servicing customers using Point of Sale software and accepts cash or charge card for purchases or applies purchases to the customer’s account

Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.

Requisitions merchandise from supplier based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials.

Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking packing slip against items received.

Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise, referring to price list.

Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.

Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.

Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles.

Loads customer purchases into customer’s vehicle when required.

Transports to goods to customer’s location when required.

Other duties may be assigned.

Adhering to safe work practices, physical labour, operating power cart, loading and unloading trucks, working in fast paced environment

Requirements: Ability to obtain Pesticide Vendor Certificate, ability to lift 25kg, valid drivers licence if over 25, Safety shoes, own transportation, good command of English language

Shifts - Days, Monday to Saturday
