Junior Carpenter

Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastics, or drywall
- Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Layout floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
- Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, trim and doors, framing, drywall etc.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures

Qualifications:

- Polite with all interactions with customers, coworkers, sub trades & City Inspectors
- Neat appearance (uniform will be provided and kept clean daily)
- Problem solver, thinking outside the box and self motivator
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- Proficient in using hand/power tools
- Knowledge of general carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods
- Good physical condition for heavy lifting
- Strong attention to detail

Nice-to-have Skills:

- Up to date on latest processes, installation methods, codes and tools.
- Tile laying and waterproofing skills for flooring and wall installations
- Caulking proficiency for finishing touches

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $29.44-$31.11 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
