**Job Summary**

Reporting to the Manager, Cancer Prevention and Screening the Regional Instructor (MRT) will provide vital support to 32 regional Ontario Breast Screening Sites by training new Medical Radiation Technologists (MRTs) in response to the expanded program. The instructor will facilitate comprehensive training to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.

**Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiography
- Active and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist of Ontario (CMRTO)
- 7 years of relevant mammography experience required
- 5 years of experience working in the ICMS system required
- 3 years of experience providing clinical instruction preferred
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality education and training on mammography techniques, protocols, and equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and previous experience in CT (including clinical placements)

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Perform mammography in a clinical setting to maintain expertise.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in mammography services.
- Provide high-quality education and training related to mammography to students and healthcare professionals.
- Deliver training on mammography techniques, protocols, and equipment to MRT students and professionals. Maintain records of training activities, progress and program outcomes.
- Demonstrate individual leadership skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently within various patient care teams.
- Supervise and mentor novice technologists, providing guidance and feedback on their performance and positioning.
- Work closely with healthcare facilities, radiology departments, and other stakeholders to ensure effective training and integration of new techniques and technologies.
- Commit to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families, as well as other members of the healthcare team, within a challenging and exciting healthcare environment.
