**Economic Development & Tourism Coordinator**
**8-14 months Full Time Contract

We are currently seeking a skilled Economic Development and Tourism Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Reporting
promotion of Ingersoll as a great place to live, visit and do business.
**Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support for the department including the museum
Maintain databases and customer relationship management (CRM) software
Develop and implement strategies for following up on leads and inquiries
Develop marketing materials including presentations, graphics, social media posts and videos to promote the
Town/department
Assist with the maintenance of websites & social media accounts for department
Assist with communications including development/distribution of press releases, newsletters etc.
Promote town’s business & tourism assets
Maintain lists and materials to promote available sites/opportunities
Represent the department at various meetings/events/functions as directed by supervisor
Take the lead on various initiatives/programs/projects
Assist with responding to various requests for information
Receives and replies to various inquiries and initiates appropriate action/follow-up/responses or directs them to
the appropriate person/department
Maintain regular contact and positive working relationships with various partners and partner organizations
Maintain positive working relationships with various stakeholders including business owners/senior
management/landowners/agents/brokers/potential investors, etc.
Organize and execute various meetings, events, conferences etc. hosted or attended by the department
Provide support to various partner organizations as directed by supervisor
Organize and conduct tours for groups and visitors to the Town as directed by supervisor
Attend and act as staff liaison and, as required, secretary for various boards and committees associated with the
department
Assist in the preparation of the operating budget for the department and museum
Write and assist with writing, reviewing and submitting grants for the department including the museum
Perform any other related duties assigned by supervisors
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
Requires work outside normal hours
**Qualifications:
Have municipal working experience
Possess graphic design, social media, and video production skills
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have 2 years or more experience in a similar role
Be creative and take initiative with an outgoing, friendly personality
Have a willingness to learn new things and be open to a variety of tasks
Have a passion for business, tourism, and community
Have a valid class “G” province of Ontario driver’s license.
Have a passport
Have First Aid/CPR Training
**Benefits**:
We offer a competitive salary range of $51,578.80- $60,333.00 yearly (2023 rate based on 35 hours/week), OMERS
