Department Supervisor

**Job description**:
We are looking for detail-oriented Department Supervisor to lead Continuous Improvement and to monitor our current operations and determine more efficient production processes. Your responsibilities include Leading a within production, analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, working as a leader within that department, reducing inefficiency, and ensuring that final products meet the established quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to connect with your staff, design systems or generate ideas that maximize productivity, reduce wastefulness and production issues, are cost-efficient, ensure high product quality and work well in a team environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.
- Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Developing and implementing process improvements and upgrades.
- Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
- Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
- Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements within your area.
- Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals. **Creating a positive team environment.**:

- Managing process documentation and preparing production reports.
- Work Closely with Team to understand, coach and build a successful department.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years as a Leader within manufacturing.
- Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Documentation and organization skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, word and excel.

**Compensation**:

- Salary - $55,000 TO $60,000/yr to start with yearly reviews
- 2 weeks accrued vacation
- Benefits after 3 months

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
