**Position Description**:

We are looking for a qualified MRT to join our team.

This MRT Nuclear Medicine position demands a thorough familiarity of all procedures performed within Nuclear Medicine. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist has gained a higher level of competency by completing advanced practice training above the basic designation and performs a variety of imaging procedures. These procedures require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative that entail more responsibility and/or are more invasive.

**Compensation**:Min**-$37.31/hour **Max**-$50.26/hour. Starting rate commensurate with experience

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**:

- Produce quality medical images for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes upon the request of a physician while ensuring the safety of patients, their family members/caregivers and staff.
- IV and bladder catheter insertion
- Carry out delegated acts.
- Evaluate all scans for technical quality.
- Radiopharmaceutical handling and administration.
- Correlate and convey the significance of patient symptoms, lab results and image findings to a radiologist.
- Expert practice in sterile technique.
- Assist with sedated and general anesthesia patients under the supervision of an anesthesiologist and registered nurse.
- Post processing or analysis of image data.
- Provide troubleshooting expertise as required to ensure integrity of imaging/information systems and provide operational expertise to users.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, their families and hospital staff.

**Here's What You Need**:

- Successful completion of an accredited program in Medical Radiation Technology (B.Sc or diploma program).
- Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Strong technical skills.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision in a team environment.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Excellent problem solving, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with children.
- Proficiency with computers.
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion
