**Coordinator, Sports Information, Marketing & Media**

The Coordinator, Sports Information, Marketing & Media (CSIMM) is responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of all athletic communications.

Under the guidance of the Director of Athletics, the CSIMM will formulate and execute a marketing and communications strategy for the athletic department in order to establish and promote the distinct brand of Mountaineer athletics. The CSIMM will have responsibility for all aspects of athletic media relations and communications. The incumbent will facilitate the development and distribution of information related to all 10 intercollegiate programs, coaches, and student-athletes across multiple platforms and social media outlets, including the Mountaineer Sports Network; update game notes and information; and maintain the athletics website.

The CSIMM will also be responsible for all aspects of traditional game day sports information operations which include marketing materials, photography, in-game and post-game score updates, live stream broadcast, and post-game videos and recaps.

**Responsibilities**:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
**Website & Sports Information**
- ** **Plans and coordinates preparation and distribution of all athletic publications, including, but not limited to: game programs, media guides, weekly releases, game re-caps, and human-interest stories.
- Maintains the athletic department website.
- Creates, develops, and produces all video content for the web including: digital media guides, pre-season outlooks, play of the games, game recaps, and film shorts.
- Prepares, maintains, and distributes all necessary statistics, rosters, and results.
- Confirms correctness of all CCAA & OCAA rosters, statistics, as well as, submits weekly nomination for various conference awards.
- Responds to information and interview requests from news media, OCAA and CCAA offices, and other sports information officers. Provides accurate and complete information in a timely manner.
- Coordinates staffing of all sports information student staff, including photographers and videographers for home games under the Supervisor’s direction.
- Oversight of all department social media outlets - Facebook, X (Twitter), etc.
- General responsibility for student-athlete recognition and awards, including the nomination of student-athletes for OCAA and CCAA postseason awards.
- Serves as a member of the Mohawk Varsity Hall of Fame committee.
- Directs the research, development and maintenance of career/season records and statistics for all sports programs and student-athletes.
- Ensures the maintenance of all general archival information on Mohawk athletics.

**Marketing**
- ** **Coordinates and contributes to the development of a digital marketing and communications strategy for Mohawk Athletics.
- Contributes to the development and enhancement of the athletics’ brand strategy.
- Tracks consumer engagement and usage on all media platforms to create target-marketing plans.
- Develops and implements a plan for promotional strategies and communication to increase the attendance at intercollegiate games, engaging students, employees, and the Mohawk community.
- Responsible for the advertising and promotions for the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre. This includes advertising for internal and external use, varsity games, athletic facilities, tournaments, and special events. Also includes creating online publications, sport programs, yearbooks, online newsletters and coordinate attendance at recruitment events.
- Prepares submissions to provincial and national organizations in support of student-athlete and/or coach award nominations.
- Sits on the host committee and acts as the main liaison for media and communications for all national and provincial tournaments hosted by Mohawk College.
