Hive Media Group is looking for an Organic Content Editor to join our team in this newly created role. The Organic Editor will be working on multiple brands, upholding editing standards for a variety of topics from home decor to history. The Organic Content Editor contributes to Hive’s Organic mission by ideating, editing, and reviewing performance for all written content for the assigned brands.

**This is a full-time, in-house/hybrid position in London, Ontario.**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Meet all editing standards for all posts weekly submitted to brands under the editor’s jurisdiction - ensuring that content published meets distribution team needs,
- Ensure content meets platform requirements for both guidelines and formatting (Facebook, SEO, Syndication partners platforms, etc.)
- Participate in all ideation sessions for owned brands and contribute to content review
- meetings,
- Work directly with brand stakeholders on distribution and video teams in order to ensure content supports their needs,
- Review writer-pitched ideations as they arise,
- Coordinate and assign article revisions due to trending or seasonal topics,
- Have an understanding of thumb & title packaging for various distribution channels such as Facebook or Instagram,
- Provide reasonable feedback as it comes up directly to staff writers,
- If feedback issues become reoccurring or are significant, escalate to Content Manager
- Using AI and generative tools where applicable to increase productivity and improve content workflows.

**Skills required**:

- Possess a minimum of 2 years of professional editing experience;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with an in-depth grasp of spelling and grammar;
- Can proficiently navigate Wordpress;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize evolving needs of multiple platforms;
- Highly organized with an ability to multitask in a multi-platform digital media environment;
- Use available data and analytics to interpret social media KPIs and make data-driven decisions;
- 1+ years experience working in digital publishing is an asset;
- 1+ years experience and knowledge of SEO best practices is an asset but not a requirement — a willingness to learn can be just as valuable;
- Experience working with AI and generative technology, with an openness to developing those skills and implementing AI to increase productivity.
