- Summary- The Material Planner is responsible for all aspects of components required for production and service.- Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Responsible for implementing new delivery strategies.
- Coordinate and implement mulk runs, consignment materials and leading-edge inventory practices.
- Develop logistics agreements: pack size, order quantity, ship frequencies, routings, etc.
- Oversee and coordinate all inbound shipments as well as returns to vendors.
- Develop the supply chain with vendors.
- Monitor and maintain supplier performance and delivery rating (Vendors and thrid party logistics providers).
- Responsbile for all aspects of components required for prodcution (availability, inventories, supplier issues, etc.)
- Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and using new inventory strategies to ensure accurate inventory and control.
- Coordinate and implement FIFO, cycle counting procedures.
- Oversee and coordinate all cycle counting activities.
- Track and report inventory issues and coordinate any resolution.
- Cycle counting as required by your supervisor.
- Reconciliation of inventory transfer points.
- All duties as assigned by your supervisor.
- Qualifications- A minimum of 5 years experience in material flow. Automotive industry experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience working with MRP systems (ERP systems).
- SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable in your duties and responsibilities in accordance with Health and Safety legislation in Ontario.
- Knowledgeable in the company's duties and responsibilities in accordance with Environmental legislation in Ontario and Canada.
- Working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001
