**Job Summary**:
**Job Duties: (Personal tools required; notify us if this is an obstacle)**

Diagnose, repair, and perform general preventative maintenance on municipal snow and ice equipment in shop or at a customer site

Operate equipment for testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting purposes or diagnose using various tools and relative equipment

Weld and fabricate parts and equipment as required.

Accurate and timely logging of billed time and materials, submission of work orders

Effectively communicate with customers and plant staff about equipment issues and solutions

Consistently demonstrate a high quality of workmanship and professionalism

Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Good attention to detail

Must be available for on call services and work irregular or long hours as required

Able to work independently and be self-motivated

**Skills/Qualifications**:
Class 5 license with clean abstract, full understanding of trucks - hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, Forklift/Overhead Crane knowledge, Welding/drilling experience preferred, Detail oriented with good organizational skills, mathematically inclined, lift upwards of **50lbs.**

**Education & Experience**:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years mechanical/310T Mechanic experience preferred.

Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and spreader systems, as well as electrical and lighting systems.

Experience repairing/maintenance of specific heavy equipment. Specifically, Municipal snow and ice equipment

Working knowledge of VCL product lines and options

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
