Front Desk Agent

Travelodge Calgary South is currently seeking energetic and passionate guest service professional to join our Front Desk Team. A Hotel front desk night clerk needs to possess a friendly and welcoming attitude, and be able to multitask in a busy environment.
Front desk agents are responsible for:
- Run audit and balance accounts at end of day.
- Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Safely and accurately handle cash or credit card information.
- Verify all information at check-in.
- Follow up with guests at check-out.
- Offer assistance to guests in regards to hotel amenities and nearby attractions (restaurants, activities, directions, etc.)
- Handle all guest requests promptly and effectively.
- Input rooming lists into system.
- Coordinate with other departments to give guests best experience possible.
- Follow all safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Flexible schedule is essential. Evenings, Weekends, Holidays to be required.
- Knowledge in Synxis or other Property Management Systems a strong asset.
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management an asset.
- Microsoft Office product knowledge required.
- Positive, professional, motivating personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passionate about guest service and hospitality
Qualifications:
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written); second language an asset.
- Professional appearance and presentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to take control of situation and problem solve.
Full-time hours: 32-40 per week
