As a Cashier and Customer Service Representative at Kays Wholesale, a wholesale cash and carry, you will play a key role in providing an excellent shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for handling cash transactions, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric attitude.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cashiering**:

- **Process Transactions**: Efficiently and accurately handle all customer transactions, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and other forms of payment.
- **Issue Receipts and Change**: Provide correct receipts and change to customers, ensuring a smooth and accurate checkout process.
- **Manage Cash Register**: Maintain and balance the cash register, report discrepancies, and follow all procedures for handling cash.

**Customer Service**:

- **Greet Customers**: Welcome customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- **Answer Inquiries**: Respond to customer questions and provide information on products, prices, availability, and promotions.
- **Problem Resolution**: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently, escalating issues to the management team when necessary.
- **Product Knowledge**: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the products offered, including new arrivals, special deals, and promotions.

**Store Operations**:

- **Assist with Stocking**: Help with stocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring that displays are attractive and well-maintained.
- **Maintain Cleanliness**: Keep the checkout area and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- **Support Team**: Assist other team members as needed, including during peak hours and special events.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
- **Skills**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; basic math and computer skills.
- **Attitude**: Friendly, patient, and customer-focused; ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move products as needed.
- **Availability**: Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
