The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the production floors, and other respective areas. The Cleaners’ primary job duties include sanitizing high-touch areas, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting countertops, and sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas on the facility. The Cleaner will also support the organization through general upkeep and other tasks as assigned.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support Covid-19 protocols and procedures by sanitizing high-touch surface areas twice daily
- Manage appearance of facility by sweeping and/or mopping
- Maintaining production and sales floors by changing light bulbs, putting up bulletin boards, and other related activities
- Assisting in the construction of office or production devices such as chairs, tables, etc.
- Completing all job duties while adhering to company protocols and procedures
- Aid the organization by completing general labour duties such as material handling, cutting, and other related activities when required
- Organize stock and other organizational supplies and disburse work-related materials when necessary
- Communicates concerns to relevant parties such as the production manager, general sales manager, or other appropriate figures
- Ability to take initiative to complete tasks without direction such as wet floors
- Addresses employee or customer requests in a timely manner
- Conducts collection and disposal of garbage, chemical products, and other materials
- Oversees cleaning of bathrooms which include countertops, floors, toilets, and urinals

**Requirements and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of cleaning / maintenance experience required
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment an asset
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Experience working with cleaning chemicals preferred

**Working Conditions**
- Potential exposure to extreme hot / cold weather conditions
- Exposure to chemical cleaning products
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs
- Standing, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling for prolonged periods of time
- Frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold environmental conditions
- Required to wear personal protective equipment such as steel toed boots and other work-related equipment.
