**The Role**

As a Flower Farm Associate, you are a customer-facing team member dedicated to an exceptional level of guest service. You are friendly, excel at communication and are a hard-working, team player. You will also be getting your hands dirty by helping around the farm, bringing blooms to life from seed to centerpiece. This position is located at the Birchwood Meadows Farm, approximately 45 minutes north of Edmonton.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcome guests
- Aid guests with questions, ensuring they are having an enjoyable experience
- Retail/POS assistance and support
- Assist in keeping the farm tidy and clean
- Maintain a tidy and clean store and greenhouse
- Plant seedlings, tubers, seeds and other items on the farm
- Weeding and maintenance of the farm beds as required
- Plant care, including watering and fertilizing

**Job Qualifications**:

- Commitment to providing customer service
- Previous retail experience an asset
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to function as part of the team
- Previous gardening experience is an asset
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm is the responsibility of the applicant.

- Lift and carry up to 50lbs

- Possess excellent spoken English and general communication skills
- Maintain a professional appearance
