The School of Workforce Development is currently seeking qualified professionals to teach courses part-time starting May 2023 in the Business - Supply Chain and Operations for Commercial Trucking program within the School of Workforce Development. This individual is responsible for providing the delivery of curriculum and the development of an effective learning environment for students.

Conestoga offers classes Monday to Sunday from 8:00 am - 10:00 pm, both in-person and online. This program offers courses at both Kitchener - Doon and Guelph campuses.

We require faculty for a variety of technical courses, including:

- Introduction to Transportation Systems
- Logistics, Transportation and Trucking
- Principles of Distribution and Logistics
- Finance in Logistics and Transportation
- Professional Communication
- Project Cost and Risk Management

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure student awareness of course objectives, instructional approach, and evaluation systems
- Carry out regularly scheduled instruction according to the format prescribed for the course, including online, classroom, and computer-assisted lab lessons
- Evaluate student progress/achievement, assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within the assigned course, and maintain records as required
- Support students in the use of eConestoga, the learning management system (D2L), as well as maintain course materials within this system
- Create and maintain a positive learning environment which supports the diversity of students’ cultures, educational backgrounds, and learning styles
- Collaborate and build relations with other program faculty

Qualifications:

- Diploma, Degree or Certification in related field
- Minimum five years of demonstrable industry relevant experience
- Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset
- Knowledge and experience of computer systems (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) and educational technologies (e.g. D2L, Zoom) is an asset
- Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
