**Role**:
Prepare technical drawings under the direct supervision of the engineer and receive technical direction from intermediate, specialist and/or senior CAD draftspersons. Support the design process by preparing parts lists, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), incorporating ECNs and performing other related administrative activities. Knowledge of MDA drafting and workmanship standards is required.

**Tasks**:

- Prepare simple and complex drawings, e.g., assembly drawings, schematics, elementary parts drawings, component drawings, and related documents, e.g., parts lists, from experience and knowledge of manufacturing drawings, related standards, and the product
- Make changes to 3D models as directed. May consult component files, catalogues, and standards for information on materials, finishes and costs, etc.
- Maintains knowledge of CAD and changes in processes, standards, and guidelines in his/her discipline and department.
- Participate in the continuous improvement effort of your discipline and department. Contribute to the updating of discipline guidelines by participating in the knowledge management system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications Required**:

- Demonstrated ability to work from sketches, plans and models.
- Demonstrated ability to work with CAD tool NX for solid modeling for drawing and documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of other CAD tools, Autocad, Visio, Word and PowerPoint is an asset.

**Education**:

- Technical training at least equivalent to a 3-year college degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

**Experience**:

- 2 to 3 years professional experience in a mechanical engineering design environment, using CAD solid modelling tools for part and assembly documentation.

**Linguistic Level**:

- At ease in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English is an asset.
