Dayna’s Pet Sitting Inc. (DPSI) is one of Ottawa’s leading pet care providers. We offer a variety of fully-customizable pet care options that all take place in the client’s home. We care for all species of animals: dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets and exotics etc. We offer other services including canine behaviour modification services and fully customized wedding handling.

Our team understands the care that we provide brings peace of mind to our clients when they are at work or away from home.

**Overnight, In-Client's-Home Care**

We offer clients the option to have one of our staff stay in the client's home overnight to care for the client's animals. The expectation is that staff will be paid for 5 hours of work and will sleep for 7 hours; we tell clients that we will be in their home for at least 12 hours over a 12-hour period.

Here are some examples of duties for these shifts:

- Cat care - litter box, feed, water, medications (sometimes), play, snuggle
- Dog care - walks, backyard playtime, feed, medications (sometimes), snuggle
- Overnight care - sleep overnight in a client's home, keep the regular routine for their pets, walks, feed, medications (sometimes), lots of snuggles
- Home care - security check (perimeter), plant watering, bring in mail/packages, move curtains, alternate lights, putting down garbage bins or bringing in
- Miscellaneous - as needed per the office’s direction
- Goes without saying - MUST LOVE ANIMALS

**Expectations**
- Show up in the appropriate service window
- Appropriate attire - no dangly jewelry
- Communication with office
- Report oddities in animals (health, behaviour, appearance) and home to office
- Client updates
- Be prepared for schedule changes
- Team player
- Be able to stay in the client's home overnight
- Attention to detail - critical
- MUST HAVE A VEHICLE AND VALID FULL LICENSE
- Experience working with animals and administering medications is considered an asset
