We are looking for a
**Shipping Agent** to join our team in Halifax, Canada. You will report to the Site Operations Manager and will work a flexible schedule onsite. You will be responsible for the shipping and shipping logistics of all company products including all internal shipping needs.

**As a Shipping Agent, you will**:

- Ship and track international and domestic shipments.
- Prepare and determine correct shipping paperwork required such as customs documentation, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin, HS codes, waybills, bill of lading (BOL), and export/import customs declarations.
- Select appropriate, pre-qualified/approved carrier to use for each shipment.
- Track and report shipment status to internal and external customers.
- Provide logistics consults with customers (internal and external) as required, including obtaining shipping/freight quotations.
- Effectively and timely coordinate with internal departments for smooth transactions.
- Respond to and resolve shipping issues and questions.
- Effectively manage and coordinate multiple projects at the same time.
- Back up receiver as required.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Relevant experience in a shipping or logistics role.
- Experience with customs documentation, incoterms, and international shipping regulations.
- Working knowledge of trade compliance regulations.
- Exposure to accounting and/or ERP software.
- Hazardous and Dangerous goods shipping certificate.
