Gas Fitter

Major Tasks
- Measure, cut, thread, and install gas piping for new homes.
- Plan and accurately size gas mains and branch lines for installation.
- Install PVC and CPVC venting for furnaces, water heaters, tankless units, and boilers.
- Utilize a coring drill for gas piping and venting.
- Properly run, install, and connect corrugated stainless-steel tubing (CSST).
- Pressure test gas piping.

Knowledge and Experience
- Completion of Secondary School is required.
- Completion of a 2 or 3 - year gas fitter apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience related to major tasks.
- Gas Fitter 3 or Gas Fitter 2 license.
- Experience with Ridgid 300 Threading Machine an asset.

Additional Requirements
- Proof of clean driving record required prior to first day.
- Excellent customer service skills

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Heavy lifting required
- Standing for extended period of time
- Bending, crouching and kneeling
