**Job Title**: Buyer - Electrification (Corporate Purchasing)
Purchase general and specialized equipment, products, or business services for use or for further processing
**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree Business / Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering or similar field
- Five (5) or more years of related technical purchasing experience with one or more of the following:
- Power electronics
- Traction motor
- High voltage power transfer (cabling, bus)
- Blueprint reading experience preferred
- Supplier development experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems
- IFS experience preferred
- Track record of ongoing personal development
- Purchasing professional certification or negotiation certification a plus

**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop and maintain a high performing supply base to service the needs of the company today and in the future.
- Interface with suppliers, Engineering to ensure the timely and accurate communication of specifications. Enlist supplier participation in design change considerations and participate in cost reduction workshops to drive price improvements
- Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards
- Monitor and maintain supplier performance and communicate results
- Work closely with international purchasing community, aligning sourcing and supplier strategies
- Assist in planning and achieving cost reduction goals.
- Maintain and keep current supplier pricing files, blanket purchase orders, and cost saving reporting tools
- Establish delivery schedules, monitor progress, and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
- Follow purchasing procedures in place for the purchase of materials / services
- Work with Accounting on process improvements and month end requirements
- Issue and maintain records
