Rental Agent

**We require a motivated, high energy individual for our expanding Thrifty Rent-A-Car operation.**

The successful applicant will be responsible for processing rental transactions for our Thrifty customers. They will utilize approved sales techniques to offer and sell incremental car rental products, monitor cleanliness and maintenance of rental fleet, provide our customers with an exceptional car rental experience and grow our rental business.

**Responsibilities/Essential Functions**:

- Process rental transactions, prepare rental agreements through use of Bluebird system. Distribute Keys.
- Greet customers, disclose rates, terms and conditions of rentals while using approved sales techniques. Encourage customers to utilize incremental car rental products; obtain customer signatures when needed.
- Assists customers with directions, review and resolve rental contract and vehicle issues; process vehicle exchanges.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness of rental office area.
- Enter and maintain customer information in Bluebird system as required.
- Accurate contract and condition report preparation.
- Ensure accounts receivable are up to date.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Previous rental operation experience is preferred
- Ability to learn and understand Bluebird rental software.
- Ability to manage stressful and unusual situations while maintaining good customer relations.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Car rental product knowledge and ability to use effective and approved sales techniques, as required
- Ability to type and perform accurate data entry
- Ability to process all paper according to policies and procedures

Applicant must hold a valid Ontario driver's license. Position involves a high level of customer contact including Body Shops and Insurance companies. Some physical activity required in preparing rentals for customers. Position is full time with work hours of Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some Saturdays may be required.

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$37,000.00 per year
