Brampton, Canada VP Metal Fabrication Inc Full time

This is an exciting opportunity at VP Metal is a recognized leader in designing and supplying high end custom metal works. We are seeking to hire experienced Estimator to join the team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
General duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Preparing customer quotations
- Preparing materials, labour and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out projects according to machining drawings, etc.
- Assist with procuring and purchasing material
- Assemble quality documentation under the direction of the Quality manager.
- Interact with Customers providing status reports and problem solving.
- Assemble project take-offs under the direction of our Management team.
- Attend technical and project coordination meetings.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- 5+ years of custom machine shop experience, experience in estimating is an asset.
- Knowledge of project interfaces, engineering management processes and procedures is an asset.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with strong multi-tasking coordination skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a results-oriented approach to assigned tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Details-oriented and quality-focused.
- Fluency in communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Adaptable to change and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering from an accredited University
- 5+ years of working experience in similar field/industry is an asset
- Professional Engineers Ontario is an asset

**Job Types**:Full-time, Permanent

**Schedule**:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Estimating: 2 years (preferred)

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Manufacturing Estimator: 5 years (required)
