**Summary**

The Maintenance Assistant will support the maintenance team in ensuring that all equipment, facilities, and grounds are maintained in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently as well as part of a team to perform routine maintenance tasks, assist with repairs, and support various operational needs, including organizational moving efforts. This is a three-month contract position, with the potential of being extended.

**Job Duties**
- **Routine Maintenance**: Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities, including but not limited to cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- **Repairs**: Assist in diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues under the guidance of senior maintenance staff.
- **Facility Upkeep**: Ensure that all facilities, including offices, common areas, and external grounds, are kept in good condition, which includes basic landscaping, painting, and carpentry work.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and tools. Notify the supervisor when reordering is necessary.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures. Report any unsafe conditions or potential hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- **Documentation**: Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed, including the nature of the work, parts used, and time spent.
- **Support for Moving Efforts**: Assist with organizational moving efforts, including packing, transporting, and setting up equipment, furniture, and other materials as needed. Ensure that all items are moved safely and efficiently, minimizing disruption to operations.
- **General Support**: Provide general support to the maintenance team, including preparing work areas, moving materials, and assisting with larger repair projects as needed.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a maintenance role is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Experience with or ability to assist in organizational moving efforts.
- **Certifications**: Any relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, HVAC, electrical) are a plus.

**Working Conditions**
- Must be willing to drive around the GTA conducting deliveries on a weekly basis.
- Must be capable of operating in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with lots of different projects arising.
- Must be able to conduct physical lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours during peak times of the year including evenings and weekends.

**Employee Requirements / Qualifications**

WOLF is a military and aerospace manufacturer requiring strict adherence to CGP and ITAR requirements.

Applicants must be able to provide valid documentation to prove that they are able to work in Canada as a Citizen or permanent basis and undergo a police check with no criminal background.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3-6 months

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
