**General Purpose**

Physical Resources manages a building area of over 6.8M square feet on 400 acres of the main campus and has a workforce of over 300 employees.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Manager, Compliance and Wellness, Physical Resources, the Physical Resources Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Representative is responsible for promoting occupational health and safety through safe work practices and procedures; and assisting in developing, implementing, monitoring and coordinating EHS safety programs, workplace inspections, incident investigations and safety training. Other responsibilities include: providing guidance to Physical Resources staff on the Occupational Health and Safety Act and associated regulations, and on safety protocols and procedures; assisting in maintaining Physical Resources safety programs such as working at heights, hot work, asbestos management, Lockout/Tagout safety, and other OHSA regulatory compliance programs; assisting with executing and retaining records related to health and safety training, including organizing training, developing training content, producing training aids, tracking attendance, and updating the training database; and other associated duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:
Completion of one year community college ( undergraduate degree or certificate directly related to Occupational Health and Safety preferred), and a minimum one year of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Also required are excellent communication skills, both oral and written; excellent organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple projects at one time with exceptional attention to detail and diligent record keeping; and proficiency with the MS suite of software and well as databases. The incumbent is responsible for helping to foster a culture of health, safety and wellness across Physical Resources and to demonstrate continuous improvement.
