Logging Supervisor

Reporting to the operations superintendent, the logging supervisor will work within a team and be responsible for all timber development and delivery activities. Our Operations Coordinators enjoy a balanced mix of field and office work while living in the beautiful Bulkley Valley and the community of Smithers.

**You'll Do**:

- Coordinating contract logging and hauling;
- Road & bridge construction and maintenance supervision;
- Road upgrade, engineering, deactivation, construction supervision;
- The work will involve contract management, liaison with government officials, detailed rate negotiations and the coordination of operations with other departments;
- Monitoring contractor compliance within safe operating procedures, ISO/ SFI certifications, health and safety programs, and log quality and log forecasts;
- Log merchandising and value assessments;
- Other duties as assigned, including some aspects of purchasing wood, planning, and silviculture.

- Effective communication and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills in a group setting;
- We are looking for individuals who are interested in learning, being challenged, and advancing their careers through various aspects of our core business.
- A forestry degree or diploma is considered an asset for the position but not a requirement.

**Compensation Package**:

- The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The yearly salary range is between $68,000 and $90,000.
