Reporting to the Manager, Collections, this position is responsible to provide financial customer service to SCIC and external customers, to investigate and analyze customer information, approve and monitor payment arrangements and deadlines, financial reporting, communicate and sharing of data with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), collection agency and other third parties.

**What you'll do**:

- Provide financial customer service to internal and external customers by reviewing and analyzing customer files, documenting account history and communicating the findings.
- Liaise with external agencies in order to obtain up-to-date assigned information that meets both internal and external requirements.
- Communicate and share confidential files with CRA, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), collection agencies and other third parties.
- Provide information to internal and external clients on matters relating to collections and assignments of indemnity, including applicable procedures.
- Orientate/train resolution agents on SCIC programs, policies and procedures related to collections.
- Communicate and negotiate binding payment plans and settlements between SCIC and its customers. This includes preparing, justifying and approving payment arrangements where the resulting write-off does not exceed $2,000 or where payment in full is obtained.
- Provide updates with supporting documents to solicitors regarding customers with legal action.
- Prepare, organize, and distribute monthly reports to management and debt resolution agents.
- Manually calculate specialized accounting transactions for accounts.
- Reconcile and calculate commissions' payable for debt resolutions agents.
- Represent SCIC at meetings with external agencies.
- Communicate and share data for Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), collection agency, and other third party files.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this position you will need a diploma in Accounting supplemented by two years directly related experience.

- A criminal record check is required.
