**KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage CV Facility Maintenance process within established budget
- Develop and network a renovation calendar, including organizing and planning scheduled building renovations
- Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, desks, tables, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds, etc.
- Develop a preferred vendor list for specialized requirements (e.g. plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Assign, approve and oversee all third-party repair and maintenance work
- Manage all maintenance contracts (e.g. cleaning, snow, HVAC and landscaping contractors)
- Prepare and implement project budgets and timeframes
- Comply with all building and childcare cleaning and health and safety policies and procedures
**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
- Demonstrates knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
- Is an expert in time management and multi-tasking
- Is self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently
- Communicates timely and effectively in verbal and written formats
- Demonstrates tenacity with problem-solving and negotiation abilities
- Is detail-oriented with an understanding of related legislation, compliance regulations and current practices relating to facilities maintenance
- Has the ability to travel to various CV locations, with access to a personal vehicle and basic tools
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Licensed Journeyman Contractor
- Minimum of five (5) years facilities management experience, including planning and maintaining budgets and contract handling
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Full time hours with 40 hours per week
- Must be willing to travel to all campuses: Ancaster, Aurora, Burlington, Leslieville, Meadowvale, Milton, North York, Oakville, Richmond Hill, Riverdale, Vaughan, & expanding
- The role requires the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding labor tasks as part of the daily responsibilities
