**POSITION OVERVIEW**:As a Project Manager at CEM Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional projects that surpass client expectations while upholding our financial and quality standards. Joining a collaborative project delivery team, you will have the opportunity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your contribution will be instrumental in achieving our clients' energy and environmental goals. **This position is available in either our St Catharines Head Office, in our Oakville, ON office or our Calgary, AB office**.

**KEY RESULTS AREAS**
- Client’s expectations are exceeded for each project for which a Project Manager is responsible.
- Projects for which the Project Manager is responsible are completed on time and on budget.
- Generate additional revenue from existing clients.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
In this role, you will:

- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the engineering project lifecycle.
- Lead the proposal effort, and skillfully prepare the fee budget.
- Actively participate in fee negotiation and collaborate on team selection.
- Effectively manage and administer engineering contracts.
- Oversee projects to ensure timely, within-budget, and scope-compliant delivery.
- Manage change orders and prevent scope creep.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with clients involved in the projects.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to drive project execution.
- Contribute to project sales by providing valuable input on scoping, proposals, estimates, budgets, and fee development.
- Coordinate and assemble engineering and design staff, sub-consultants, and project support personnel.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of technical, regulatory, commercial, and contractual project requirements.
- Lead project planning and implementation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with CEM's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Program.
- Coordinate with site construction and commissioning managers.
- Proactively identify and communicate project risks to clients and senior leadership for effective mitigation.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide progress reports.
- Exhibit strong project documentation skills for record-keeping purposes.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Consulting environment experience.
- Experience in power generation, renewal natural gas (RNG), and preferably with rotating machinery generation.
- Customer-focused mindset with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing engineering projects.
- Solid foundational technical engineering knowledge and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Structural Engineering.
- Preferred registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, in good standing.
- Professional Project Management designation (PMP) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a consulting firm.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage teams, clients, and external stakeholders (utilities, sub-consultants, equipment vendors, etc.).
- Strong presentation and face-to-face communication skills as this role involves direct client interaction.

In addition to the above, we expect you to:

- Support your manager with miscellaneous tasks, project requirements, and corporate needs.
- Be willing to share your experience and knowledge with colleagues from diverse technical backgrounds.
- Ability to travel to job sites and third-party offices, when required.
- Possess technical writing, organizational, and time management skills.
- Be fluent in standard office software.
