**Short Description**
As the Manager, Instrumentation & Electrical Systems you will manage a group of technical staff and

will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical equipment

associated with corporate and customer owned and operated facilities across the province. You will

oversee the instrumentation and electrical portion of all new SaskWater projects ensuring efficient and

effective use of systems and compliance with corporate and industry standards.

**Job Duties**
Manage staff and oversee the operation of instrumentation and electrical work in accordance with

corporate, regulatory and industry standards. Train staff on technological changes for equipment and

operating systems; ensure compliance of established guidelines and regulations.

Oversee the execution of maintenance work for instrumentation and electrical equipment at all SaskWater

facilities. Evaluate the performance of electrical and industrial equipment procedures, and oversee the

enhancements, replacements and installations of new components as required. Prepare technical reports

and specifications as required; standardize all equipment and processes, where possible, to eliminate

unnecessary software, equipment and cost; ensure effective use of asset management for all

instrumentation and electrical work.

Lead instrumentation and electrical initiatives of SaskWater projects, upgrades, maintenance and new

systems; oversee all electrical designs and proposed modifications to new and existing water and

wastewater systems; identify problems and recommend solutions as required. Ensure data for SaskWater

control systems is secure, and maintain a database of current control system files in the event of

equipment failure.

Oversee the provision of quality control on new and upgrade projects; ensure safety procedures are

enforced.

Develop, recommend, track and control unit operational budget including authorizations, forecasts, and

agreement verifications.

**Qualifications**
To qualify, you will have a Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation

Engineering Technology; P.Eng. status or an A.Sc.T (preferred); along with 8 years of progressively more

responsible related experience including:

- Design, installation, operation and maintenance of electrical and industrial control equipment

used in water and wastewater systems including general control, PLC, VFD and SCADA
- Supervisory and People Leadership
- Project and Construction Management
- Working knowledge of Asset Management practices and software
