**Financial Literacy**

CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.

We are** **searching for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team in the role of a Financial Literacy person primarily at our new Settlement & Engagement Place, if needed to other locations in Peel. It will provide a place for newcomers to meet, connect and build skills by combining a self-directed service approach with individual case-based settlement services.

**What you will be doing**:

- Provide both group and individual supports to immigrants to improve their knowledge of, and ability to navigate, Canada’s financial systems
- Conduct individual client assessments and assist clients to develop a personal financial action plan with options identified to assist them to achieve their goals
- Monitor client progress and follow-up as necessary
- Facilitate appropriate referrals for client access to other supports and services in the community
- Plan, deliver and evaluate group sessions on a variety of financial literacy topics relevant to immigrants
- Conduct community outreach to promote the Financial Literacy Program to immigrant communities
- Support other program staff to incorporate the financial literacy resources into their program activities.
- Develop, document and report on clients’ outcomes.
- Prepare and submit monthly statistical reports, progress reports, program results and evaluations as required.
- Propose suggestions to improve the program delivery
- Participate in team meetings, as well as other internal and external committees as required.

**What are we looking for?**
- Community college diploma in finance, accounting or business administration or the equivalent in training and experience
- Minimum one year experience delivering financial literacy services in the community
- In depth understanding of Canadian financial systems and financial literacy principles
- Experience in providing both individual services and group adult education activities
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards of culturally responsive service delivery within an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework.
- Knowledge of community resources and services relating to Financial Literacy.

**Salary**:$28.65 - $30.23 hourly (based on experience)

**Location**: in person, Brampton (if needed to other locations in Peel)

**Work Hours**: 35 hours/week. Must be available to work evening and weekend shifts.
