Cleaner (Part-time)

**About us**

We are not for profit organization supporting and serving Veterans, including serving military and RCMP, to promote Remembrance, and to serve our communities.

## Duties:

- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including hallways and lobbies.
- Follow cleaning procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Use hand tools and power tools as necessary for cleaning tasks.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.

## Qualifications:

- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
- Physical stamina for some heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $18.41 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vanier, ON K1L 7N7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English, french (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
