**Position Type**: Receptionist Full-time
- **1-year term Contract (maternity leave)**

**Work Schedule**: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:00 (Occasional Evenings will be required)

**Salary**: $18.00/hour

**Immediate Supervisor**: Information Services Supervisor

**Language Requirement**:English Mandatory; French a Strong Asset

**The Role(s)**

Under the direction of the PMFRC Volunteer Specialist, the responsible for the welcoming of community members to the various Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC) facilities. The Receptionist is responsible for all frontline services, including responding to client’s requests and directing them to the applicable resource and/or program area. This position may work out of any one of the PMFRC facilities located on both the North Side and South Side of the Garrison.

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Office Administration or Customer Service Training / Course

**Experience**
- In data entry, record-keeping, and retrieval techniques.
- In working with a cross-section of the community
- In providing front-line support, responding to inquiries and community concerns In non-violent crisis intervention
- In researching, establishing, sustaining, and fostering a network of community contacts and partnerships
- In providing emotional support

**Conditions of Employment**
- Adhere to all PMFRC policies and procedures including policies regarding privacy code and confidentiality.
- Participate/ assist with all special events when required.
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record check, obtain an enhanced reliability security clearance, and vulnerable sector screening (current within 6 months).
- Valid Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle for work related travel and requisite driver’s insurance.
- Travel within the County of Renfrew.
- Thorough understanding of Canadian Armed Forces communities, systems, and policies to effectively assist families in accessing appropriate services and supports.
