**PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR**

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Supervisor motivates & manages the production staff daily to ensure that they are consistently completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently while contributing to the overall business objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads & develops production line employees.
- Ensures quality workmanship and all safety procedures are followed (glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, etc)
- Conducts morning production huddles with staff daily.
- Assists production line as needed to ensure production flow remains balanced and efficient.
- Regularly communicates with production & management teams.
- Organizes inventory storage & participates with inventory counts & management tasks with Plant Manager.
- Recommends changes that will improve plant efficiency and safety, leads improvement projects as required.
- Assists with clean-up and manages cleanliness in all work areas.
- Ensures awareness of maintenance schedules and that necessary work to equipment is performed on time.
- Submits daily records to supervisor as needed and/or as required for regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills and maintains a positive “can-do” outlook.
- Mechanically inclined with experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Red Seal Certified welder credentials are a benefit.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Effective with prioritizing & delegating tasks to team members.
- Understands the importance of time management and is proactive with planning & activities.
- Experience with computer production programs and MS Office.

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
- High noise levels (hearing protection required)
- Periodic dusty & smoky air.
- Periodic crowded areas.
- Fast-paced work environment.
- Requires steel toed footwear, hearing protection, safety glasses
- Stay current with all WHIMIS, MSDS sheets as well as Safe Work procedures.
- Identify & report any unsafe working conditions to supervisor immediately.

HOURS OF WORK
- 4 -10 Hour days per week, variations and O.T. as intermittently required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,500.00-$65,500.00 per year
