**Overview**
- Join our team at Lafarge Canada Construction as a Finish Roller Operator and contribute to the creation of high-quality asphalt roadways. As a Finish Roller Operator, you'll play a crucial role in the final stages of road construction, ensuring smooth and durable surfaces. This position offers an opportunity to work with cutting edge equipment and a dynamic team in the asphalt industry.

**Responsibilities**:
- Operate finish roller machinery to compact asphalt and create smooth road surfaces.-
- Collaborate with paving crews to ensure proper alignment and compaction of asphalt layers.-
- Responsible for completing and documenting a daily pre-trip equipment inspection prior to starting the work.-
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on equipment to identify any maintenance or repair needs.-
- Adjust roller settings to achieve desired compaction levels and surface finishes.-
- Monitor asphalt temperature and moisture levels to optimize compaction efficiency.-
- Work in coordination with other equipment operators and labourers to complete paving projects on schedule.-
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.-
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily production logs and equipment maintenance reports.-
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues that arise.-
- Follow company policies and procedures to uphold quality standards and promote a positive work culture.-
- Regulate roller speed to ensure consistent compaction and avoid damage to the asphalt surface.**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.-
- Previous experience operating finish roller equipment or similar machinery in asphalt paving preferred.-
- Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and industry best practices.-
- Ability to interpret paving plans and specifications.-
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.-
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.-
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.-
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by project schedules.-
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in outdoor environments.-
