ROLE OBJECTIVE:
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
To effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the employee must be able to do the following:

- Geofence retail stores, activity infrastructure, transportation, public building etc. with high precision and accuracy
- Produce maps using GIS tools such as ArcGIS
- Clean, standardize and geocode location databases from a variety of sources and in different formats
- Create reports of customer data using database tools such as Alteryx, Excel and ENVISION
- Transform and analyze databases using data mining techniques
- Work closely with other staff in Data Solutions, Insights, Client Services, and Sales to meet project requirements
- Maintain high level of accuracy and quality control on all projects
- Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Education - Pursuing university degree in Geography, or related field or have undergraduate degree in Geography or related field.
- Experience - Preferably one (1) year of work experience (or equivalent summer experience) in a related field
- Technical Skills - Must be familiar with a variety of software and have an aptitude for learning others. Preference will be given to those who are familiar with GIS products such as ArcGIS and database software. Knowledge of GIS, spatial analysis, geodemography, database design, data mining, mapping, trade area analysis, customer analysis, market penetration and market potential, retail analysis, demographics, segmentation and survey data is desired. Experience with census data, geographic hierarchies, postal geography, target marketing, direct marketing, addressed and unaddressed mail campaigns, and response analysis is preferred. Those with technical aptitude and strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills will be trained in the technical skills required for the role.
