EMPLOYMENT COUNSELLOR - Permanent/Full-time

Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Muskoka-Kawarthas Employment Services Program, known as Career Edge, requires an Employment Counsellor to provide services in its Campbellford location starting as soon as possible.

**Who You Are**
As an Employment Counsellor, you are a part of our Employment Services team and your passion for providing exceptional customer service contributes to guiding your clients to successful outcomes including employment, training, education and/or entrepreneurship. While assisting clients through the intake process and determining their needs, you will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging tone with a focus on empowering each client through the job search process.

You enjoy working with people, are organized, and can work effectively with a variety of software programs. This role will have you managing a caseload of clients, acting as an advocate for those clients, working collaboratively across all of our departments, completing data entry, following Ministry guidelines and referring clients to community supports and services.

**Skills We’re Looking for**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience working with Persons with Disabilities
- Strong case management skills including entering accurate case notes and maintaining organized files
- Effective time management skills to meet timelines and targets by prioritizing tasks
- Knowledge of the local labour market, community resources and labour legislation

**Qualifications Required**:

- University Degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of related experience is preferred
- Valid driver’s licence
