At Iwami, the position of **Line Cook/Prep **is responsible for making dishes according to specifications and standards of the company. They are also required to set up their station to ensure a smooth service. The line cook/Prep position consists of assisting the executive chef with their daily tasks.

**Responsibilities**
- Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, and equipment
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the staff
- Answer, report and follow executive chef's instructions
- Clean up station, ensuring that the space is in a tidy manner
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in a timely fashion, up to the company's standards
- Comply sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

**QUALIFICATIONS & KEY ATTRIBUTES**
- Basic understanding of various cooking methods, food handling and preparation methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Previous experience in a restaurant is an asset.
- Organizational skills
- Flexible schedule

**Prerequisites**:

- Conversational English is mandatory
- Be able to keep up in a fast paced environment
- Be open minded and willing to learn
