Overview:
Lafarge Canada Inc. is hiring for
**Quarry Labourers **to join the
**Eastern Ontario Aggregates** team. Operations are in Ottawa and surrounding areas including Brockville, Gatineau, Kemptville, and Kingston.

The Labourer would work within experienced teams on routine tasks including housekeeping, equipment operation, and maintenance. The teams and equipment are portable and operate at quarries across Eastern Ontario. This full-time position includes twelve-hour work days, year-round.

**Compensation**
- Hourly wage will reflect experience and knowledge
- Overtime after 44 hours worked in a week
- $60,000 to $85,000 compensation annually
- Travel & Accommodation Pay Supplemented

**Shift**
- Monday to Friday
- Twelve (12+) hour days
- Usually 6 AM to 6 PM
- Earlier end time on Fridays

**Responsibilities**:

- Completion of tasks assigned by Plant Superintendent or Lead Hand
- Routine housekeeping with hand shovel and skid steer
- Operation of construction vehicles
- Basic maintenance

Qualifications:
**Essential Qualifications and Skills**
- Strong safety mindset
- Clear communication
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, and kneel with varying weight
- Ability to work outdoors, at height, and in inclement weather

**Beneficial Qualifications and Skills**
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is an asset
- Experience operating hand power tools is an asset
- Experience operating Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) is an asset
- Experience with stick/wire welding and cutting torches is an asset
- Experience in quarries, mines, and/or construction sites is an asset
- Completion of Surface Miner Common Core is an asset
- Completion of Working at Heights is an asset
- Completion of Confined Space Attendant/Entrant is an asset
