**General**
A sixty-seven and a half (67.5) hour per pay period, Part-Time Temporary Contract Therapeutic Recreationist position is being offered in the Radiant Care Pleasant Manor Therapeutic Recreation department. The start date of this position is to be determined and the anticipated end date is February 26, 2025.

Tuesday 11:00-19:00

**Qualifications**

Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to,
- Training and education in recreation/leisure services, Therapeutic Recreation or Kinesiology from a recognized community college or university as per Ministry of Health standards
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel
- Experience in recreation programming and planning
- Montessori training, or knowledge of Montessori approaches/theories would be an asset

**Eligibility and Selection Criteria**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assists in identifying and assessing the resident’s needs and developing activities and programs in collaboration with the Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor
- Encourages and records resident participation in programs
- Assist with the creation of monthly activity calendars
- Attend team conferences, as required
- Ability to coordinate volunteers to compliment programs, as required
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve program objectives
- Participates in multi-disciplinary Resident Care Plan meetings to discuss resident response to programs, new admissions, special issues, and new goals
- To establish and maintain a close liaison with all departments, volunteers, families and participants in a team effort to provide total care for the resident
- Maintains clinical documentation and records
- Requisitions supplies and services for program activities
- Other duties as assigned
