As an integral member of our finance team this position will have a primary focus on Accounts Receivable with secondary duties for Accounts Payable and back up telephone duties. The Clerk will report directly to the Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for providing a wide range of financial and administrative services for our companies, focusing on accounts receivable and finance-related administrative duties. The primary objective of this role is to ensure accurate and timely processing of AR payments, sales postings, vendor payments, and collections, while maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors.

**Accounts Receivable Responsibilities**:

- Reconcile receivable accounts and outstanding balances, ensuring all payments are properly accounted for and posted.
- Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices and promptly resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
- Generate daily sales reports and post in general ledger.
- Prepare and send out regular account statements to customers.

**Accounts Payable Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers through various payment methods with attention to detail.
- Reconcile vendor statements, follow up on outstanding invoices, and resolve payment issues.
- Reconcile company expenses, employee expense claims, and cheque requests.
- Identify and flag unusual transactions for the attention of Accounting Manager and investigate anomalies.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting principles, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient and effective solutions.
- Answering calls
- Provide support within the finance team
- Manage other finance-related duties or special projects as assigned from time to time.

**Requirements**:

- Possess post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience as an Accounts Receivable /Accounts Payable Administrator or in a related finance role is preferred, but not necessary.
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Exhibit strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Display excellent time management and attention to detail, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong communication skills and comfort with mathematical calculations.
- Proficient in using spreadsheets, particularly Excel and performing data analysis. Knowledge of Power BI an asset but not required.
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Sage / Account Edge / Microsoft GP or QuickBooks) and MS Office
- Willingness to learn various new software.

**Language Requirement**:

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
