Who We Are
When Canada’s health care decision-makers want to know what the evidence says, they ask CADTH, Canada’s drug and health technology agency. We’re a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Ottawa, with a satellite office in Toronto. We’re funded by Canada’s federal, provincial, and territorial governments, with the exception of Quebec, to provide independent information and advice to the country’s publicly funded health care systems. Health administrators and policy experts rely on CADTH to inform their decisions about the funding and appropriate use of the drugs, devices, and services used to prevent, diagnose, and treat medical conditions.

The Scientific Evidence, Methodologies, and Resources business unit is 1of 6 business units at CADTH. It oversees the rigour and quality of CADTH's reports through methods, health economics, research information services, and publishing to ensure the continued credibility of CADTH's work.

We are currently looking for talented students to bring their dedication, passion, and innovative ideas to fill meaningful and stimulating full-time internship positions in several areas, including:

- Science and Methods
- Health Economics
- Publishing.

The Intern will have an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the Scientific Evidence, Methodologies, and Resources team and hone their analytical, research, visual, and creative skills. successful applicant’s area of interest and will be discussed and coordinated during the offer process. Some essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

- communicating with various internal and external clients, and providing information or advice depending on the position
- researching, obtaining, and analyzing clinical data and information
- conducting research, performing administrative and operational tasks
- supporting methodological development
- preparing documents, reports, and clinical and pharmaceutical reviews
- participating as a member of a team in team meetings, all-staff monthly meetings, and other events
- interacting with other CADTH teams as required to support current priorities and initiatives aligned with the corporate objectives of CADTH.

Is this the right role for you?

**The Intern will likely have**:

- an undergraduate or a graduate program in publishing or a health-related discipline (biostatistics, epidemiology and health outcomes, pharmacy, health economics, medicine) in progress and have a demonstrated strength and interest in 1 real-world several areas including biotechnology, clinical epidemiology, real-world evidence, clinical and pharmaceutical reviews, health economics, or health technology assessment
- knowledge of medical and scientific language
- advanced oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated strength in scientific or technical report writing
- analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to review and extract relevant scientific data
- strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both autonomously and with multidisciplinary teams
